Matano lake - danau matano

Matano Lake is a lake located in the district Soroako luwutimur province Sulawesi selatan bordering Sulawesi tengah , this lake has a depth as far as 600 meters(1969 feet), 382 meters above sea level them. According to WWF, this lake is thedeepest lake in Southeast Asia and the eighth deepest in the world

This lake has very clear water and have views that make me comfortable to linger there, the lake is at a glance looks very beautiful surrounded by mountains that are still green

in this lake area was also built some very beautiful beaches and safe for water sports,like swimming, snorkeling, diving and others, beaches that were there of them are old camp beach , ide beach and kupu-kupu beach... all of those beach are very beautyful

In this region, also formed two other lakes, lake Mahalona (60mtr depth) and lakeTowuti (depth 200mtr). Water flowing from Lake Matano Larona river flowed throughto the Lake to Lake Towuti Mahalona then onwards towards the estuary via the riverand ends at the Sea Malili Bone. River is the primary mover of two hydro-owned PTInco Tbk (nickel mining company that built this area) namely PLTA Balambano and PLTA Larona . Even the not too distant future Inco will also build athird hydroelectric energy source comes from Lake Matano, namely PLTA Karebbe.
